Azure Greg NewsLetter v6.0

Episode 6 - Eddie the eagle

This is the 6th edition of my weekly newsletter so thank you for reading.

In this week's newsletter, I cover some of the best content I have come across in the past week which covers various topics and not one particular area.

This week I got access to the Open AI tooling within Azure, next week I will give it a spring and report back. Also helping a customer move off of Azure Time Series Insights to Azure Data Explorer as it's being retired in 2025.

This week I have been busy reading up on how to transfer azure storage accounts across subscriptions and how to go about moving a high number of Azure SQL databases across subscriptions (hard limit of 1200) - more on that once I get into it.

Last weekend our entire company went skiing in Austria, what a way to get to know everyone even better than before than on the slopes and in the bar and restaurants at night it was incredible.

Our AZ-900 course timeline has been updated to have fewer 1-hour sessions, now we have 3 separate 2-hour sessions, easier when we have multiple people helping to cover the content and moderate the chat and questions and answers.

I still need to finish off my blog post on creating Azure Virtual Desktop resources using Bicep and will domain join a windows 11, VM, to an Azure Active Directory Domain Services instance.

Stay safe, this is the way. I am looking for suggestions for thumbnail pics for each weekly newsletter, and suggestions via Twitter @gregor_suttie.
